A teenager who secretly shared food in Auschwitz inspired a community kitchen now serving 300,000+ meals yearly to anyone in need, regardless of faith or background.
A teenager's act of courage in Auschwitz inspired a legacy that feeds hundreds of thousands today. Margaret Feder secretly shared scraps of food with starving prisoners, and 80 years later, her family's donation created a community kitchen that serves over 300,000 meals annually, welcoming people of all faiths and backgrounds.
The kitchen was established in honor of Margaret Feder, a Holocaust survivor from Hungary who secretly shared food with starving prisoners at Auschwitz. Margaret's family donated the space to the community kitchen in 2022 so her legacy of feeding those in need could continue.
The kitchen serves more than 300,000 meals per year to people in the community.
Everyone is welcome regardless of background, religion, age, or economic status, if you are hungry, the kitchen feeds you.
