A rainbow is not a fixed object floating in the sky but rather a phenomenon that occurs within individual raindrops. Each raindrop bends light directly toward the observer's eye, creating the optical illusion of an arc in the sky. What appears to be a single rainbow is actually sunlight being refracted and separated into its component colors by countless water droplets.
This optical effect demonstrates how light can be taken apart and reorganized through natural processes.
