Followers and following on Yesodi let members build an audience around their published work. Any member can follow a profile to keep seeing its articles, videos, music, products, and updates, and can gain followers who choose to see theirs.
What following does
Following a profile keeps that member's published work close. When a followed member publishes an article, video, music track, event, product, or other post, the follower can see it through the Feed. Following is free and any member can follow another member.
Building an audience
Every follower is a person who chose to keep seeing a member's work. As a musician, writer, business, freelancer, or artist publishes more, the follower count can grow. A larger audience means more people see each new post and each new page the member publishes.
How followers find you
New followers reach a profile through the Feed, Explore, Search, the People and Brands directories, and Spotlight and Podium rankings. Pages on Yesodi are built with structured data so they can also be found on Google and AI search. Publishing regularly gives visitors more reasons to follow.
Followers and connections
Following is a one way action, so a member can follow a profile without that profile following back. Connections are a separate feature with defined connection types between two members. Chat and messaging let members communicate directly. Followers, connections, and chat work together to help members grow and keep a network.
Followers and the feed
The Feed shows work from profiles a member follows alongside wider discovery. Followers see a member's newest posts in their own feeds when the member publishes. This gives every new article, video, or track an audience that is already interested.
Does following someone on Yesodi cost money?
No. Following a profile is free, and so is being followed. Creating an account and publishing work are also free.
