Rapid Retro is a raw rhythm vocalist whose identity is built around a naturally deep, low-frequency baritone voice and emotionally driven Pop Drill / Sad Drill sound. Born August 8, 2005, Rapid Retro (real name Tyrell Patterson) has been connected to music for 6 years. His relationship with singing started at age 6, when he would sing along on the bus to every song. One of his earliest musical memories is singing OneRepublic's Apologize while still small enough to be in a stroller. His performance style focuses on rhythm, vocal presence, breath control, and a sound that can physically resonate through an environment. He describes the natural resonance of his voice and how it can vibrate surrounding areas and be felt through Bluetooth playback, including resonance through the floor in his room. Rapid Retro's upcoming stage performance is scheduled for August 27, 2026, at The Delancey NightClub on Manhattan's Lower East Side, with an expected audience of 250 people. This marks his 4th stage performance. His dream is to go to Hollywood and continue performing on bigger stages while bringing his distinctive deep baritone presence and Pop Drill / Sad Drill sound to a wider audience.
